The Red Grouper bite continues to be excellent, the fish being well over the 20″ minimum and limits coming pretty easy. Gag Grouper are now open but seem to be a little hard to find as our water temperature is so warm. Mackeral are abundant but small, barracuda are around in good numbers and an occasional King Fish and Cobia show up from time to time.

Bottom fishing has been the best bet for constant action and good eating fish. Red Snapper closes the end of August so we have another year to wait for those fish to be legal to keep again. Tarpon are still around in decent numbers with most of the fish being caught being the smaller males ranging from 70 to 130 lbs.
